The Symbol of Excellence program is divided into three phases. First, a local panel of distinguished scholars and scientists select the Symbol of Excellence winners. Then, the same group of judges chooses up to 30 finalists. An international panel comprised of leaders in the design, media, manufacturing, and marketing industries then judges the Gold and Silver recipients.
